Where is Asbury First United Methodist Church and how do I get there?
Asbury First United Methodist Church is located at 1040 East Avenue in downtown Rochester.
Where do I park?
Ample, free parking is available behind the church and may be accessed from East Avenue or
University Avenue.
Can I reserve seats?
Seating is open, first come, first served. Limited, open reserved seating is included with the
purchase of a Premium Series Subscription.
Are there accessible seats?
Yes. Please contact us prior to the event so that we can reserve your seat and accommodate
any special requests.
Will ASL interpretation and assistive listening devices be available?
ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation is available upon request. Please let us know your
requirements at least three weeks prior to the event so that we can accommodate the request.
Asbury First is also equipped with assistive listening devices. Please speak with an usher upon
your arrival if you would like to request one for the program.
What is the program schedule?
Doors will open at 6:15pm. The program will begin promptly at 7:00pm. The speaker will present
for approximately 45-50 minutes followed by 10-15 minutes of questions from the audience.
Will books be available for purchase?
Yes! Books by the author who is speaking will be available for purchase before and after each
event, courtesy of Bookeater Books.
Do I need to read the books before I attend?
Not at all! Some of the most exciting events are those where you are introduced to a new
author. The events are intended for those who are curious as well as those who are already
fans.

What if the event is cancelled?
In the highly unlikely event that the program is cancelled, it will be rescheduled.
What if it turns out that I can’t attend? Will you provide refunds?
Although we don’t provide refunds, if you are unable to attend, you may give your ticket to a
friend or contact us two business days in advance to donate it. We will distribute your ticket
through our Audience Outreach Fund.
